A lifelong Kiama Municipality local, David Hall knows the area first-hand and through many years of working in local media, real estate and many sporting and community groups, has earned a reputation for his outgoing personality and reliability David loves nothing more than helping people achieve their dreams.

Born in Kiama, David attended Kiama Public and Kiama High School before working in the family butcher shop in Jamberoo for many years, during which time he also freelanced in journalism and photography for the Kiama Independent and Southern Highland News.

He then joined the Kiama Independent and Lake Times staff on a fulltime basis, where he quickly became Sports Editor, writing and photographing sport, wrote features and general news, and filled in from time-to-time as Editor of both publications.

In 2003 he accepted the position as Secretary-Manager of the South Coast Group 7 Rugby League, a position he filled for almost four years then worked for a year with Space Real Estate in Kiama, however the chance to return to the Independent and Lake Times was too tempting and he worked there for a further eight years.

"In more than 25 years working at the Kiama Independent and Lake Times newspapers, I had the pleasure of helping many fine young sportsmen and women launch their careers, people like Sally Fitzgibbons, Alex Volkanovski, Robbie Maddison and dozens of young sportspeople and I also enjoyed working in the community and loved the chance to cover many events and celebrations,” he said.

“I have taken that love and dedication into my Real Estate career.”

David spend most of his youth in Jamberoo, before spending the last 26 years in Kiama, however recently built and new home and returned to Jamberoo.

David has been a member of both Jamberoo and Kiama Rugby League Clubs, Kiama Touch Association and Kiama Rotary Club and more recently Kiama Show Society.

He has coached many successful Touch teams as well as junior teams for Kiama Junior League and Kiama Cricket Club. He is a Life Member of both the Kiama Touch Association and Jamberoo RLFC.

David has been married to his wife Julie for 27 years and they have two sons and a daughter and three beautiful grand-children.
